Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., LTD. (formerly Beijing Petrochemical Design Institute (BPDI)) is a state-level high-tech enterprise. After restructure, joined in Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Co.,LTD in July 2010, It is an important engineering and technology department in Yanchang Petroleum (Group) and also a window of Yanchang Petroleum Group in Beijing.
Currently, BPEC has about 1,050 employees and will reach around 2,000 employees at the end of 2015,of which engineering and technical personnel account for more than 90%. Its Headquarters is located in the Olympic Media Village, Chaoyang District, Beijing,where has a modern office building (27 stories) around 30,000㎡. BPEC has 12 functional departments, 4 business departments which are Refining, Chemical, Petroleum Storage & Transportation, and Utilities and Facilities, 2 branches office which located in Xi’an, and 3 professional subsidiaries.
BPEC holds Class A certificates of engineering consultation, engineering design and relavant certificate for project management, EPC, overseas service etc. issued by the national ministries. BPEC mainly engage in engineering consultation, engineering design, EPC, project management, IT, engineering technology development and related businesses in the fields of refining, petro-chemical, coal-chemical, natural-gas-chemical, oil & gas field storage & transportation, etc.
BPEC has introduced large numbers of excellent technical backbones from large engineering companies (design institutes) of Sinopec, PetroChina and former National Chemicals Ministry. in a sustained way in recent few years. Nowadays, BPEC is capable of performing the engineering consultation, engineering design, EPC and PMC for the plant-wide projects, such as an refining project of ten million tons, ethylene project of million tons, deep conversion of coal project, as well as key process units, such as VCC, catalytic cracking, hydrogenation, reforming, coking, aromatic extraction, polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, coal gasification, natural gas conversion, methanol, butanol & octanol, hydrogen generation, coal tar hydrogenation, oil & gas storage & transportation, LNG, etc. BPEC is one of the few engineering companies possessing its technical force for reining, petro-chemicals, natural gas chemicals, coal chemicals, oil & gas storage/transportation at the same time.
BPEC has completed designs for nearly 200 projects in recent 5 years and completed the PMC work for Shenhua Coal-to-Olefins demonstration project in Baotou. At present BPEC is working on several large projects including Yan’an coal-gas-oil integrated utilization Project with an investment of RMB21.6 billion yuan and dozen project with technological research and engineering study including coal and oil co-processing, coal tar hydrogenation, methanol to fuel ethanol, natural gas to benzene, Olefins from light oil fluid bed catalytic cracking, PX co-producing Olefins from oil and ethanol. From these projects, we aim to open up a more convenient induatrial route from natural gas and coal efficient conversion processes to chemicals.
